“...sometimes when we are beating ourselves up, we need to stop and say to that harassing voice inside, -Man, I'm doing the very best I can right now.- ” ― Brené Brown, Rising StrongWords can cut you like a knife.

Words have the ability to destroy your day.

Words linger for years after they are spoken.

My words to myself can be defeating and debilitating. They have the power to keep me stuck. They have the ability to bring me to my knees in pain and agony.

Our words to ourselves can bring life or death.

We have to be willing to shut up the harassing voices inside our heads.

We have to be willing to fight for ourselves.

We have to be willing to STOP the madness swirling in our heads.

We have to be willing to release ourselves from the guilt.

We have to be willing to give ourselves grace.

This is the hardest thing for me to do. I always feel like I am missing something with my son, at home or work. Juggling family, work and ministry seems to leave me feeling like I am missing the mark somewhere. I really give myself a hard time most days and other days I retreat all together from connection.

This learning curve is hard some days yet, I know just being aware of it is more than half the battle. The more I lean into learning and growing the better off my own sanity will be in the long run and hopefully it will translate into all the other areas of my life.

Releasing these negative thoughts and words is the only way to capture freedom. Freedom will releasing me and you from the hold of guilt and defeat. We must embrace our imperfections and allow ourselves room to grow and flourish. This journey is not easy but, it is worth the hard work.

Let go.

Embrace who you are in Him.

Allow His love to transform your life.

Never giving up on yourself or your loved ones.
