When anxiety rears its ugly head it looks different for everyone. Some people feel the anxiety in their chest and feel bogged down. Some people act our their anxiety with anger. While others feel depressed and distant from their friends and family.
In the book of Ruth, Ruth takes a leap of faith to forgo going back to her family in order to stay with her mother in law. She believes it is the right thing to do despite the uncertainty of the journey.
Often in life there are choices we make and later we question because of uncertainty or a wrong turn. It can be hard to hold on the truth that God is always faithful but, we have to keep pressing into this truth to rewrite the negative thoughts running rampant in our minds.
God rewarded Ruth’s loyalty to Naomi when she went to glean barley in the fields of Boaz. Even though Ruth hard to work hard, she was thankful for what she had; she was not bitter and despondent.
It can be easy to become bitter when we are stuck in the meantime. It can be easy to want to stop working and just give up but, giving up means we are submitting our lives to the enemy. Surrendering to God is NOT easy but, He will give us the strength we NEED to do the work to overcome our anxiety and sadness.
What causes you to feel anxious?
What causes you to doubt God?
What can you do to renew your heart and mind today?
When we walk this journey in an authentic and real way we are making ourselves available to helping others who are struggling to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
There will be dark times. There will be struggles. There will be moments of doubt. There will be times of misunderstanding. There will be uncertainty but, God is bigger than all of that. God is better than all of these feelings.
When life takes a negative turn, God can turn heartache into blessings.
Do you believe that for yourself?
Do you trust He is standing with you in the darkness?
Hold tight to His love today friend. Trust Him today friend. Believe in His healing power today friend!! He is mighty to save and He will NEVER leave you… most especially in the darkness.
Father God give us strength to trust you in the darkness of today. Give us strength to take a leap of faith and to focus on You and NOT the uncertainty. Help us to follow Your leading and NOT the leading of the enemy. We thank You and praise You for another glorious day here on earth. Amen!
