a warm post to say

Learning to explore life through sharing my words and journey began almost eight years ago. Processing life through words began for me in my childhood and my love for it has only grown. Yes, it can be scary to allow others into my thoughts. There have been times I have wanted to retreat and stop sharing all together and yet words are what help me to heal, grow and learn. Words are like a friend who allows you to be you without judgment or ridicule. Although there have been time my sharing has caused tension and “issues” with friends and family.

Learning to live life out loud has had it’s ups and downs. There has been plenty of times when I thought maybe I was crazy to share in the midst of struggles and yet, I always feel better when I am able to put my thoughts, feelings and emotion into words. As much as it has helped others I believe me allowing myself to create has helped me to grow and flourish in life.

Being a women in today’s society is different in so many ways. Learning to navigate being a working wife and mom has definitely had it’s ups and downs. Learning to navigate my passion for leading and teaching has brought me face to face with some big truths that the world and church still have about women in leadership. Learning to navigate infertility and broken relationships has brought me to my knees and to a depth of anger I did not know existed within me. And despite some backlash I do believe in my sharing of these struggles that I have been able to bring to light some new realizations and truth to this journey of learning to live our passion and purpose right where we are planted.

No, I have definitely never thought I had all the answers but my journey has been met with such love and acceptance. My words have been received and brought about amazing conversations. For this I am thankful. I am thankful for all those who have read and continue to read my posts. I am thankful for the kind words and prayers. I am thankful that this ability to share vulnerable exist in our world today. I am thankful to you reading this now.

My hope and prayer has always to be a place to find laughter, truth and encouragement. As this year starts to come to a close I hope to be able to jump on more frequently to share and explore life with you, my readers… even if it is only one or two *grin*. I hope to also hear your stories about life, love and this journey. But, for today I just wanted to say thank you for the love and support. Thank you for taking the time to support my dreams and my life.

Today, I am thankful for you!
